Medical Associates Family Clinic
The Medical Associates Family Clinic offers both emergency and routine healthcare services including:
- Procedures such as suturing, dressings and minor fractures
- Management of chronic illnesses including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
- Primary prevention and screening- breast, prostate examination, pap smears.
Occupational Medicine involves the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of work-related illness and providing advice to management and the workforce on health matters connected directly or indirectly with their employment.
We also offer specialised occupational health services to businesses and work forces across the spectrum of industry. These services include work related health surveillance such as lung function testing in the form of spirometry and hearing testing by screening audiometry.
General and specific work related medicals form part of the services offered to cover the entire range and levels of staff within a particular organisation: from “Executive Medicals” to food handler’s certification.
Dr. Euclid Morris is a physician with experience and specialist training and qualifications in Family Medicine and Occupational Medicine. Dr. Morris currently combines the academic work at the University (lecturer in Family Medicine) with private Family Medicine practice and consultancy work in Occupational Medicine.
Dr. Kathy Ellis is a registered specialist Family Physician with training and experience in Internal Medicine, obtained in the West Indies and the United Kingdom. Presently, Dr. Ellis also works as a sessional Registrar at the Staff Clinic at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and as the doctor for Sils Dialysis clinic.
Dr. Nesha Gibbons is a family physician and part time tutor at the University of the West indies, Cave Hill Campus.
Dr. Majeks has experience as an Emergency Physician and has practised in the UK as well as Barbados. He is currently employed as a sessional Registrar at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the Accident and Emergency Department and is a part time tutor at the University of the West Indies.
Dr. V. Rene Best is a specialist Family Physician and Sports Medicine Practitioner with certification in Hyperbaric Medicine. Presently he is the Force Medical Officer of the Barbados Defence Force and Rehabilitation Coordinator of West Indies Cricket.
